Bravium's Prime Contractor status under the General Services Administration (GSA) 8(a) Streamlined Technology Acquisition Resources for Services (STARS) II GovernmentWide Acquisitions Contract (GWAC) was awarded June 13,2017.

GSA's 8(a) STARS II GWAC is a small business set-aside that provides flexible access to customized IT solutions from a large, diverse pool of 8(a) industry partners.

The Small Business Administration's (SBA) minority business 8(a) program is designed to help small, minority firms compete for government contracts.

BENEFITS

SeaPort-e is an IDIQ multi-year contract providing services to Naval Sea Systems Command, Naval Air Systems Command, Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command, Naval Supply Systems Command, Military Sealift Command, United States Marine Corps, Office of Naval Research, Strategic Systems Program, and Naval Facilities Command.

Bravium received our 8(a) certification from the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) on May 14, 2012.

To be certified in the 8(a) program a small business must be 51% owned and controlled by an economically-disadvantaged American citizen. The business must demonstrate potential for business success and good character.

Certified 8(a) organizations must maintain a balance between commercial and government business, and stay on track to accomplish goals and follow requirements. SBA district offices monitor and measure the participant progress with annual reviews, business planning, and systematic evaluations.

SDB

A Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB) is a small business at least 51% owned by a socially- and economically-disadvantaged individual. SDB status makes a company eligible for specific federal procurement bidding and contracting programs.

Small business set-asides are powerful tools for entrepreneurial development, a primary engine in our economy. Certain opportunities are set-aside exclusively for small business concerns under various designations.

WOSB

To qualify as a Woman-Owned Small Business (WOSB) an organization must be a small business, as defined by applicable NAICS code, and at least 51% directly owned and controlled by one or more women who are U.S. citizens

The WOSB Federal Contract Program was implemented to expand the number of industries where WOSB compete for business with the federal government, and allows set-asides for WOSBs in industries where women-owned small businesses are substantially underrepresented.

EDWOSB

Participating Economically Disadvantaged WOSBs (EDWOSBs) can compete for federal contracts that are set-aside for EDWOSBs in industries where woman- and economically-disadvantaged-owned small businesses are underrepresented.
